bbkeys is a keygrabber which can do various things based on key combinations. You don't need to bother with blackbox as your window manager if you don't want.

bbkeys is no longer supported

.bbkeysrc has some configuration notes.

[1] You can cycle through iconified applications with blackbox 1.0 (when it's released). Yay!

My old commandline doesn't seem to work anymore:
