I bought a custom-made Xtreme Titanium Ring for my left thumb, and I didn't wear it because it wasn't comfortable and wasn't what I really envisioned for myself. Since then I've fallen in love with it, and use it as a bit of a blood-pressure check. I don't keep it on all the time, and remove it when it becomes uncomfortable during the day.
- It is made of an aerospace grade-5 titanium alloy (90% Ti, 6% aluminum, 4% vanadium). The material was chosen because it's a bit lighter in colour and harder and therefore can take a higher polish than pure titanium. I had the insides anodized to an antique gold finish. The real customization was when I had the inner edges anodized, something I don't think had been done before. It's a Men's size 10+3/4 that's 7mm wide, has a rounded fit and a high polish. (Got it May 2006) Trivia: It would have hidden a beauty mark on the inside of my left thumb. But it has holes in it and I let it peek through.
